AUBURN — Diane N. Brown, 70, of 16 Foch St., Lewiston, departed to be with our Lord Jesus on Tuesday, June 20, at Clover Manor Health Care, with her husband, Roger, and her daughter, Angela, by her side.
She was born at Boston City Hospital on Dec. 26, 1946, the daughter of William and Annette (Bernier) Amlotte. She was educated in Lewiston schools. On Dec. 22, 1990, she met Roger Brown and they were married on May 23, 1992.
Diane was a member of Pathway Vineyard Church. She was active with the church in many ways, she volunteered in the toddler room during services, if someone did not show up, Diane would be there at a moment’s notice to help out on the weeks she was not scheduled. She also assisted with Kids Unleashed in July over many years until her condition caused her to no longer participate.
Over the years, Diane worked in many local establishments which included The Holly, Sid Arthurs and Great Falls Pub. Diane worked at Eastland Shoe from 1992 until 2002, where she retired from after surviving from cancer. She enjoyed reading cards and palms. In 2008, Diane and Roger went on a cruise to the eastern Caribbean and in 2009, they went to the western Caribbean; also over the years they enjoyed traveling to Virginia to visit family.
During the holiday season, our home was full of family enjoying Diane’s great cooking. Easter and Thanksgiving has not been the same these past few years due to Diane’s illness. Our youngest daughter, Angie, took over for her Mom. Christmas was a very special time of the year for the children, they loved to come to Nana and Pe’s home because the presents were piled high and Nana got so excited and glowed with love as they opened them.
The family thanks all the staff at Clover Manor for the special care and love shown to Diane. A special thank-you to Denise and Nurse Margeret of Hospice Care — we love you.
She is survived by her husband, Roger; three daughters, Angela Richards and husband, Chad, Katy Doughty, and Tina Blauvet and husband, Kenneth, all of Lewiston; one brother, Roland “Micky” Amlotte of Lewiston; five grandchildren, Kerry, Nicole, Jacob, Zachary and Ashley; and by one great-granddaughter, Ava.
She was predeceased by a sister, Beatrice Amlotte.
