AUBURN — Those who have ever shared their life with a pet, they know: love changes everything. It changes mornings, routines, perspective, life — and it can change the world for animals.

The Greater Androscoggin Humane Society will host the Be A Lifesaver adoption event this weekend.

GAHS will have adoptable pets from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, July 1, and Sunday, July 2,  at 105 Mt. Auburn Ave.

All pets will be spayed or neutered, micro-chipped and up to date on vaccinations before going to their new home. Nearly 50 kittens will be available with a special adoption fee of $100. Adopters will also be able to name their own adoption fee for all adult cats and dogs (older than 6 months).
