LIVERMORE FALLS — Friends Together Peer Support and Recovery Center  will have an indoor yard sale Friday, June 30, and Monday, July 3, on Park Street next to the fire station.

The proceeds from this event will help pay for the many activities held throughout the year. 

DIXFIELD — The Dixfield Congregational Church will have the annual Strawberry Festival from 8:30 to 11:30 a.m. Saturday, July 1.

Breakfast with Belgian waffles and strawberries will be served for $6.50 a person.

There will also be fresh picked strawberries available by the pint or quart and baked goods for sale. Homemade strawberry ice cream or strawberry shortcake with homemade shortcake biscuits will cost $2.50.

GRAY — The Women’s Fellowship of the First Congregational Church of Gray will sponsor the annual July bake sale in front of Shop ‘n Save in the Gray Plaza, Route 100, from 8 a.m. until sold out on Saturday, July 1.

There will be cookies, cakes, squares, candy, breads and other items.

TURNER — The Turner Public Library annual book sale will be a three-day event, starting on the morning of Saturday, July 1. The early opening is a new feature, as it allows for a more leisurely browsing experience than is sometimes possible while the library’s Fourth of July Festival on the Green is taking place.

The schedule for the 2017 sale: Saturday, July 1, 8:30 a.m. to noon; Tuesday, July 4, 8:30 a.m. to 1 p.m.; and Wednesday, July 5, 9 a.m. to noon. There will be refreshments on the first morning of the sale.

While the schedule has expanded over the years, the bargain prices remain unchanged, with most books priced at $1 for hardcovers and 50 cents for paperbacks, and most children’s books priced at four for a dollar.

The library welcomes donations of gently-used books. They can be left in the lobby of the Leavitt Institute Building anytime the library is open: Tuesday and Thursday, noon to 7 p.m.; Friday, 2 to 6 p.m.; and Saturday, 9:30 a.m. to noon. They will accept CDs, DVDs and puzzles also, but ask that no encyclopedias or magazines be left.

The sale will take place in the Leavitt Institute Building Community Room, 98 Matthews Way.

Proceeds from the sale will benefit the library.

WAYNE — The First Saturday at the Williams House with a book sale, boutique and breakfast, will be held from 9 a.m. to noon Saturday, July 1, at 14 Old Winthrop Road. 

This month will include a yard sale featuring furniture, exercise equipment, pottery, rugs, jewelry and more.

All proceeds benefit the Wayne Library Association.

WATERFORD — The Wilkins Community House will hold an indoor yard sale during the Waterford Summer Breakfast in its cool basement from 7:30 to 11 a.m. Tuesday, July 4, at the foot of Plummer Hill Road next to the Waterford Congregational Church. 

July 4th in Waterford will also see a parade  at 11 a.m., and a book sale from 9 a.m. to noon at Waterford Library, and the Waterford Historical Society will open the historic Town House and the Rice Museum. The breakfast will be served from 7:30 to 10 a.m.  

Future indoor yard sales will coincide with breakfasts on Wednesdays, July 19, Aug. 2 and Aug. 16. 

Proceeds will go to the maintenance funds for the Wilkins Community House and the Waterford Congregational Church.

WAYNE — The Wayne Community Church annual auction and related events will take place Thursday through Saturday, July 6 to 9, at 22 Old Winthrop Road.

There will be silent and live auctions each day, along with a Dessert Extravaganza on Thursday and free hors d’oeuvres on Saturday. Events run from 5 to 9 p.m. Thursday, 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. Friday, and 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Saturday.

Prizes include a baseball signed by Red Sox shortstop, Xander Bog, and a guitar signed by Maroon 5 singer, Adam Levine.
