LEWISTON — Roger Nadeau, 84, of Auburn, passed away on Friday, June 30, at The Marshwood Center in Lewiston.
He was born in Lewiston on Sep. 8, 1932, a son of the late Willie and Gilberte (Deshaies) Nadeau. He attended local schools, graduating from Edward Little High School. Following high school he joined the U.S. Navy during the Korean War, serving his country before being honorably discharged. He married Pauline Beaule, and they were married until she passed away. He later married Karen Blaisdell, who has also passed away.
He worked for more than 40 years as a roofer for St. Hilaire Roofing. He was a member of St. Louis Parish in Auburn until it’s closing and remained a parishioner of Immaculate Heart of Mary Parish afterward. He was a member of the New Auburn Social Club and American Legion Post 153. He was a huge Red Sox and Patriots fan. He enjoyed walking, card games, playing horseshoes and camping with his family.
He is survived by his children, Diane Marcoux and partner, Patrick Dumont, of Lewiston, Nancy Nadeau and partner, Paul Plourde, of Lewiston, John Nadeau of Auburn and Todd Nadeau of Lewiston; eight grandchildren, Troy, Dustin, Natasha, Dylan and Danica Nadeau, Chris Marcoux and wife, Bobbie-Jo, Trisha Marcoux and Amy Plourde; and nine great-grandchildren.
Roger was predeceased by his parents and his wives.
