NORWAY — The Norway Country Club and Norway Country Club Ladies Golf Association are sponsoring the 4th Annual Drive Out Cancer Golf Tournament on Aug. 17 at the course on Route 118.
Individuals or businesses may choose to be a bronze sponsor for $300, a silver sponsor for $500 or a gold sponsor for $1,000. Sponsors will have a banner displayed and their name on program. For $100 a business or individual will have a sign on a golf course hole.
In addition to the 18-hole golf scramble, the women are collecting items for a silent auction which will begin Aug. 13. Anyone interested in making a donation or participating in the golf tournament may call 207-743-5187 or 207-929-9372.
Donations are tax deductible since all proceeds from the Drive Out Cancer Tournament will be donated to the Cancer Resource Center of Western Maine, a local nonprofit, at 199 Main St.
The center is open from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. every Thursday and Friday and offers a variety of programs and comfort items free to anyone impacted by cancer.
