BUCKFIELD — The individuals involved in an accident on Route 140 on Saturday morning have been released from the hospital after being treated for minor injuries.

Katie Hicks, 33, of Buckfield, rear-ended Linda Lamontagne, 69, of Sumner just before 11 a.m. in front of the Buckfield-Sumner Transfer Station, according to police.

Lamontagne’s car was then pushed into another vehicle and Catherine Preston, 57, of Sumner, who was walking at the transfer station, police said. The driver of the third vehicle has not yet been identified.

Lamontagne’s car also rolled over, according to police.

Hicks was released from Central Maine Medical Center with no injuries.

Lamontagne was treated for cuts and abrasions, and Preston was treated for an arm injury, according to the Oxford County Sheriff’s Office. A previous press release from the Sheriff’s Office had stated that the two people, unidentified at the time, had sustained life-threatening injuries.
