LITCHFIELD — Jennifer Reichel Ames, of Litchfield died on Friday, July 14, after a battle with kidney disease.
Jenny was born on April 8, 1954. She earned her education at Monmouth Academy, and the University of Maine at Augusta. She had been employed by Value House in Lewiston, the Bureau of Taxation and Bureau of Motor Vehicles, where she made many lifelong friends. She loved nature, gardening, birding and the ocean, often incorporating this love into her watercolor paintings.
Jenny was predeceased by her father, Alvin H. Reichel; her mother, Josephine Burpeau Reichel; and her sister, Georgette Syster.
She is survived by her sisters, Loretta Reichel, and Martha and husband, Kenneth Tyler; her brother-in-law, Danny Syster; her nieces and nephews, with whom she had a special bond, Marc Crocker and his wife, Allison, Cathy Wheaton, Corey Wheaton, Ricky Beaule and his wife, Jennifer, and John Beaule and his wife, Teresa; her great-nieces and -nephew, whom she loved dearly, Amber Beaule, Megan Beaule, Catie Wheaton, Meghan Crocker and Aiden Beaule.
Her last years were made easier with help from the caring workers of Kornerstone Home Health, and most recently Pauline, and her lifelong neighbor and friend, Barbie, who was always there for her.
She loved her family and her many friends and was always ready for a good party. Her iron will and strong spirit will be missed by all who knew her.
