LEWISTON — Wicked Illustrations Gallery at 140 Canal St., will host artist Cory Tancrede’s debut exhibit, now through the end of August.
Tancrede will has always been creative. A hairdresser, a baker and all-around crafter, she has found her passion in painting. In February 2016 she attended a local paint night and then began taking instruction. She has already sold three original works and has assisted on two mural projects in Lewiston, one on Centreville Garage and one on Rainbow Bikes. She also painted the turtle-themed fire hydrant on Lisbon Street.
Tancrede has lived in Lewiston for seven years. She lives with six of her seven children, five dogs and two pigs. Her husband, a Lewiston native, retired from the Air Force which allowed them to travel all over Europe and then to Hawaii, where she discovered her love of turtles and sea life.
She works primarily in acrylic but loves to dabble in other media.
