LEWISTON — SeniorsPlus and nursing students from the Maine College of Health Professions are offering free health education at 1 p.m. Tuesday, July 25, at the SeniorsPlus Education Center, 8 Falcon Road.
Nursing students from Maine College of Health Professions will educate the community on how to maintain a healthy heart through blood pressure management, diet and exercise.
Participants will learn how the health of the heart and diet impacts the rest of the body, as well as the benefits of exercise. Blood pressure checks, nutrition label education, and heart healthy recipes will be available.
The Maine College of Health Professions is a small community of 200 students in Lewiston. MCHP provides education in nursing, radiology, nursing assistants, nuclear medicine, and general education, with close ties to Central Maine Medical Center for clinical learning opportunities.
