What happened:

Harold Brooks provided the necessary forms, proof of insurance, and a letter from Maine State Police indicating they will have four officers on hand for the annual mass gathering held at his property. The selectmen reviewed the paperwork and after a brief discussion signed off and issued the permit. At a meeting a month ago, Brooks had issued a public apology for not filing proper mapping for a prior event. This action allowed the permitting to proceed. 

 

What happened:

After some discussion of the long-term viability of the oldest plow truck in the town’s fleet, the board agreed to spend $250 to fix the hydraulic ram that lifts the wing to prolong the life of the rig. 

 

What happened:

On Sunday night, a black bear made its way into the transfer station and pulled a small portion of refuse out of one of the dumpsters. The selectmen discussed an appropriate locking mechanism for the bin and organized a cleanup of the situation.
