AUGUSTA (AP) — State police say they’ve arrested three residents who robbed the cash boxes of several farm stands in northern Maine.
Police say surveillance footage led them to charge three Presque Isle residents with multiple counts of theft and criminal mischief.
The three have court dates in Houlton District Court in September.
Police say that on Saturday night they received reports from a local farm stand in Blaine of a damaged cashbox with money stolen from it.
By the end of the night, police say farm stands in Monticello, Eaton and Westfield also experienced break-ins.
Police say the investigation is ongoing.
