BRUNSWICK (WGME) – A Brunswick man faces charges after allegedly hanging out the window of his car on I-295, and “giving the finger” to passers-by.
Police say he was going around 65 miles an hour.
Chief Deputy Gagnon says he followed Daniel Harris for five miles with his lights and siren on.
Harris continued to drive half out the window while giving the southbound lane the finger.
That remained the case for 5 miles until they reached the Brunswick exit.
That’s when Harris got into the driver’s seat again, and pulled over.
Deputy Chief Gagnon said that Harris was surprisingly cooperative.
He said he was coming back from Portland, and was “having a bad day.”
Harris now faces several charges, including a driving to endanger misdemeanor and failure to stop for a police officer.
He is out on bail, but attempts to reach out to Harris have been unsuccessful.
