LEWISTON — Daniel Meehl, 56, of Lewiston, passed away on Sunday, July 23, with his family at his side.
He was born in Lewiston on June 15, 1961, a son of the late Jack and Carolyn (Wight) Meehl. He lived most of his life in Lewiston. He spent the early years of his life in Andover, Massachusetts, where he graduated from Andover High School, and met his wife, Kathleen (Coakley). They were married on March 29, 1980, in Andover. He was co-owner and vice president of Denross NE, specializing in asset preservation and restoration. He was a former commander of The Watchman of Maine, who loved spending as much of his spare time as possible at Coos Canyon in Byron. He enjoyed gold prospecting, four-wheeling, hunting and shooting.
He is survived by his wife, Kathleen; three children, Lynn Pannell and husband, Dickie, of Lewiston, Daniel Meehl and Roza Osipova of Webster, Mass., and Keith Meehl of Fort Myers, Fla.; five grandchildren, Peter, Jonathan, Allyssa, Payton and Aviana; a sister, Susan Poussard; a brother, Timothy Meehl and wife, Michelle; and several nieces and nephews.
