This sign for empolyee parking was seen at Thompson’s Point in Portland on Thursday.
PORTLAND — Signs installed by the developers of Thompon’s Point in Portland on Thursday are likely to inspire more than a few double-takes.
Placed on the north and east side of the building known as Brick North, it reads:
“Employee Parking Only. Violators will be towed or swallowed whole by the Casco Bay Sea Serpent.”
Nestled on the water — and arguably prime sea serpent territory — Thompson’s Point is home to popular summer concerts, Bissell Brothers Brewing, Stroudwater Distillery and the International Cryptozoology Museum.
Museum Director Loren Coleman got a laugh but said he wasn’t behind the signs.
