BALDWIN — A young man died early Sunday afternoon after walking in front of his friends as they tried to fix a jammed gun while target practicing, according to WCSH 6.
The TV station is reporting that six men in their twenties had been target practicing at a sandpit on Carl-Burnell Road when the gun jammed. One man was shot in the chest at 1:45 p.m.
LifeFlight responded but wasn’t able to save him. The Cumberland County Sheriff Department is investigating.
The man is from the area. His name is not yet being released.
