PORTLAND (AP) — Brandon Bednar hit a two-run single in the top of the 11th inning to lead the Richmond Flying Squirrels to a 7-5 win over the Portland Sea Dogs on Wednesday.
The single by Bednar scored K.C. Hobson and Hunter Cole.
Tyler Cyr got Jeremy Barfield to fly out with a runner on third to end the game for his 14th save of the season.
Reliever Cody Hall (3-2) picked up the win after he struck out four and walked one while allowing one hit over two scoreless innings. Jacob Dahlstrand (5-2) went one inning, allowing two runs and two hits in the Eastern League game. He also struck out one and walked two.
Caleb Gindl singled twice, driving in a run and also scoring one in the win.
