PARIS — On Saturday, Aug. 12, the Celebration Barn Theater presents “Room to Play” by Rob Torres, an international comedian who can be understood everywhere without saying a word. The show starts at 7:30 p.m,.
For the past two decades, Torres has traveled to more than 50 countries performing in theaters circuses, galas, TV and film. His worldwide performances have won him numerous awards.
Following his early days training with Ringling Brothers and Bailey Clown College, Torres’ fascination with clown routines and creating comedy grew stronger, leading him to Mexico. He studied pantomime theater at the Estudio Busqueda de Pantomima Teatro in Guanajuato Mexico with famed teacher and director Sigfrido Aguilar. It was at this time that Torres discovered his passion to blend circus acts with the stage works of pantomime and comedy. He then came to Celebration Barn to study with renowned clown Avner the Eccentric. This work laid another foundation block for his theater work as a clown.
Torres has masterfully blended his formal training in theater, circus arts, and pantomime to create genuinely fun and memorable acts.
