LEWISTON — The United Way of Androscoggin County has hired Kim Preble, a native of Auburn, as its new director of community engagement.
The newly created position provides leadership, strategic vision and direction to United Way of Androscoggin County in the areas of work place campaigns, marketing, resource development planning, collaboration and initiatives management. She started work for UWAC on Aug. 7.
Preble comes to United Way of Androscoggin County from United Way of Oxford County, where she worked the past two and a half years. Prior to that she worked at Safe Voices.
She is a graduate of Edward Little High School and studied business management and marketing at the University of Maine Orono. She also is a member of the Auburn-Lewiston Rotary Club, serves as an adviser for the Olympia Snowe Women’s Leadership Institute, is the assistant swim coach for Edward Little High School, and coaches the Poland Regional junior varsity softball team.
