LISBON — Janet (Staples) Bineau, 75, passed away on Friday, Aug. 11, at her home in Lisbon.
She was born in Hallowell on Dec. 10, 1941, the daughter of the late Elmer and Maude (Davis) Staples. Janet was a lifelong Maine resident. She had strong faith in God and it was there she found her constant strength.
She was predeceased by her husband of 47 years, Ben Bineau.
Janet loved to knit, enjoyed crafts of all kinds, being by the ocean, but most of all, she loved being with her family, son, daughter, grandkids and her fur babies. Janet was well known as a hugger and offered hugs to everyone she met. Her infectious smile and laughter will live in our hearts forever.
Janet was extremely proud of her Passamaquoddy lineage, and enjoyed powwows and Native-American culture.
Before retiring as a hairstylist, Janet owned the Country Beauty Nook in Lisbon, which has now become HairRazors where her son, Jeff is lovingly continuing her legacy. It should be known that she spent her last couple of months with her son, doing things she loved.
Janet is survived by her two children, Jeff and wife, Peggi, and Michelle Fougere and wife, Elaine; her two grandchildren, Roxanne and Alexis; and many special nieces and nephews.
