Teams of area police will set up roadblocks every night for the rest of the month to check for drunk drivers.
Maine State Police, the Androscoggin County Sheriff’s Office and Sabattus and Lisbon police departments will combine resources to set up roadblocks from now to Aug. 31.
The effort is part of an ongoing campaign, sponsored by the Maine Bureau of Highway Safety and National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, to combat impaired driving, according to a news release.
Anyone with questions may contact Lisbon Police Chief Marc Hagan at 344-1429.
