AUBURN — Rose J. Maley, 99, a resident of Lewiston, passed away on Friday, August 18, at Clover Manor Health Care Facility following a short illness.
She was born in Lisbon, Maine on June 22, 1918, the daughter of the late Joseph and Celina (Bolduc) Duval and had been a resident of this community all of her life.
Rose was married to Thomas Beauchesne for twenty-five years. He died in 1961. She later married Joseph Lessard and he died in 1983. She then married Richard Maley in June of 1985 and he died in September of 2013.
She worked at the Continental Mill until the mill closed. She then worked at several shoe shops and retired from Knapp Shoe.
Rose enjoyed sewing, knitting, doing puzzles and playing bingo.
Survivors include one daughter, Claudette Champagne of Lewiston; one son, Donald Beauchesne of Rumford; a daughter-in-law, Lorraine Beauchesne of Delaware; her grandchildren, Richard King Jr. and his girlfriend, Kristie Smith, of Sebago, Christina Eccles and her husband, Ricky, of Lewiston, Thomas Beauchesne and his wife, Coleen, of Delaware and Suzanne Brooks and her husband, Bob, of New Jersey; several great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
She was predeceased by a daughter, Lorraine; two sons Paul and Maurice Beauchesne; two granddaughters, Kathy Theberge and Debra Beauchesne; a son-in-law, Orean Champagne; her sisters, Ida White, Marie Aldrich, Cecile Laroche, Mabel Roy, Alice Caron, Florence Laroche, Juliette Berube, Helen Coombs; and three brothers, Joseph, Arthur and Laurier Duval.
