What to expect: The Phoenix are moving down a class and changing from a spread attack to the double-wing under coach Frey, who is in his first full year after taking over as head coach midway through last season. Brett Frey, the coach’s son, moves from receiver to quarterback to run a system most of the Phoenix used with success in middle school. They have good speed and hope the simplified blocking scheme can give the QB and running backs, led by Stewart, room to run. The defense has been tweaked to a lesser extent to give them more coverage schemes.
