Fire crews from several area towns on Thursday battled a fire that leveled a mobile home on North Hill Road in Buckfield. Fire officials credited a neighbor and a passerby for rushing to the home to assist the occupant when the flames were first discovered. Firefighters from Hebron, Sumner, Norway, Paris and Turner assisted Buckfield crews in battling the 11 a.m. blaze near the corner of Hillrock Circle. The cause was being investigated.
