TURNER — The SAD 52 Adult Education’s Enrichment program has many classes to interest community members.
Ukulele: 7 p.m. Wednesdays beginning Sept. 20 for four weeks with instructor Mike Burd. Participants will start playing simple songs right away. They will be provided with simple instructional materials for class and web links to access royalty-free resources on the web. Those who have a uke and tuner should bring them. There are limited loaners available. Tuition: $8.
Home Cheesemaking: 6 to 9 p.m. Wednesday and Thursday, Sept. 20 and 21. Using locally produced milk, students will create three kinds of fresh cheese, farmer, feta and a quick mozzarella. They will be started on night one and finished and sampled on night two. Students should bring a small container to take samples home. Tuition: $30 plus $15 material fee to be paid to instructor at first class.
Alcohol Ink Necklace: 6 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 11. Students will make a unique glass glass pendant necklace with a choice of colors and seals with a fabric or metal chain. Participants can use the collection of inks and supplies or bring favorites. Tuition: $29.
Other classes include Piloxing, Tai Chi Intro, Great Dog, Zumba Fitness, Sub Training, Budgeting Basics, Essential Oils for Babies, Luggage Tags and Purse Charms.
