LEWISTON — Debra A. (Cyr) Harrison passed away in Lewiston on Monday, Sept. 11, at the age of 58 after a courageous battle with breast cancer and associated treatment complications.
Debra was born on Dec. 30, 1958 in Rantoul, Ill. to Geraldine Helena Hammond and Lloyd Rudolph Cyr. Debra will always be remembered by her free spirit and positivity. She was a fun loving person that could often be found in her favorite tie-dye clothing and Life is Good apparel. She had such passion for photography, arts and crafts, traveling, and a cold pint of her favorite beer.
Deb and Patti loved traveling together. She looked forward to these road trips. She loved being part of the Ya-Ya Sisters at her annual Lake Pemaquid camping trip when many close friends and family gathered to spend time with each other.
Debra graduated from Bangor High School in 1977. She graduated from the University of Maine at Farmington with a degree in child development. She worked for HMS Host for many years and was proud to be the retail manager of the three retail stores on the Maine Turnpike as her final position.
Debra is survived by her wife, Patricia Ray of Lewiston; her mother, Geraldine Cyr of Bangor; her brothers, David Cyr and wife, Ellen, of Cumberland and Mike Cyr and wife, Laurie, of Bowdoin; and sisters, Sandy York and husband, Steve, of Bangor and Barb Cyr and husband, Jerome Cyr, of Bangor; her stepson, SSGT Dylan Theberge of the USMC and wife, Kassaundra; her granddaughters, Victoria, Madiline, and Trinity; and her special niece, Alexia Ray; as well as many beloved nieces and nephews.
Debra was predeceased by her father, Lloyd Rudolph Cyr.
