GARDINER — Carol Noonan and The Guitar Gods will perform at 7:30 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 30, at Johnson Hall Performing Arts Center, 280 Water St.
Noonan is known foremost as a contemporary singer-songwriter, but is also known for her haunting renditions of Irish, English and American traditionals. She is the owner and director of the Stone Mountain Arts Center in Brownfield.
Best known as an MVP for hire by Peter Wolf, Mary Chapin Carpenter and others, Duke Levine of The Guitar Gods has an encyclopedic knowledge of blues, R&B, rock, pop and jazz that informs his musicianship.
Whether it’s jazz, blues, rock, or even country, Guitar Gods’ Kevin Barry has performed and recorded with many legendary artists, including Mary Chapin Carpenter and Emmylou Harris and tours with Tom Petty.
