PARIS — Celebration Barn Theater presents its last family-friendly matinee of the season this Saturday, as well as an evening of local storytelling hosted by Sally Jones.

At 2 p.m., on Saturday, Sept. 30, puppeteer Faye Dupras and musician Max Weigert will perform “I Spy Butterfly,” a show well-suited for ages 3-10, followed by a kids’ butterfly puppet-making workshop.

How does a nature-loving explorer kid become a bug’s best friend? Find out in this delightful eco-story about the ways we all grow and change. When Trudy’s caterpillar friend Harold suddenly transforms into a chrysalis, she’s determined to do the same. Just when she is about to give up hope, she learns that her tiny friend needs her now more than ever. Live music, colorful critters and oodles of audience interaction make this show a fun ecological romp in the wild.

At 7:30 p.m., the Barn presents “This is What Happened,”  hosted by Sally Jones — an evening of true stories from the lives of local storytellers.

The stories are wide-ranging: FBI visits, rare neurological conditions, the blessings/curses of ADHD, and a WWII Marine veteran’s tale. Jones has worked with each performer to dig into the heart of their own, unique tale and will host the performance.

The seven stories will be performed by Ron Blake, Elton Cole, Jennifer Collins Beaudoin, Roy Earle, Heath Keniston, Faye Stephenson and sister act Doris Ray and Mona Grandbois.

Tickets to “I Spy Butterfly” puppet show and kids’ puppet-making workshop are $8 for kids and $10 adults/seniors. Lobby and concessions open at 1:30 p.m.
