FARMINGTON — Junior center-midfielder Macey Phillips scored the game’s lone goal with 5:33 remaining in regulation to lift Mt. Blue to a 1-0 triumph over Oxford hills in girls’ soccer action Thursday afternoon.
The final 10 minutes saw both teams running from end to end trying to score what would become the game-winner. Though the Vikings (7-4) outshot the Cougars (3-6-2) by a margin of 28-10, Mt. Blue managed to squeak the only goal by the netminder in the waning minutes.
Goalie Jillian Douglass made nine saves for Oxford Hills, while keeper Mackenzie Libby prevented 23 shots to earn the win in net for Mt. Blue.
St. Dom’s 2, Buckfield 0
BUCKFIELD — Avery Lutrzykowski and Emma Theriault scored one goal each as St. Dom’s notched a 2-0 victory over Buckfield in girls’ soccer action Thursday afternoon.
The Saints (5-4-1) dominated the second half, outshooting the Bucks (5-3-2) by a margin of 10-5.
Goalie Molly Bourget made seven saves for Buckfield, while goalie Hannah Kenney repelled three for St. Dom’s in the winning effort.
Gray-New Gloucester 7, Poland 2
GRAY — Jordan Grant tabulated four goals as Gray-New Gloucester cruised to a 7-2 victory over Poland in girls’ soccer action Thursday afternoon.
The Patriots (5-5-1) marched to a 5-1 lead at the half. Emma Woods contributed three assists for Gray-New Gloucester.
Emma Pratt had a goal and an assist for the Knights (2-8-1).
Goalies Sydney Hudson and Sophia Vallee combined for 10 saves for Poland, while goalies Chelsea Davis and Sydney Rodrigues made four saves for Gray-New Gloucester in the winning effort.

Edward Little 4, Oceanside 0
ROCKLAND — Liz Bellman scored a pair of goals as Edward Little grounded Oceanside 4-0 in field hockey action Thursday afternoon.
The Red Eddies (5-8) blanked the Mariners (3-9) in shots with a 19-0 margin. All of the goal-scoring occured in the second half.
Goalies Alexa Barston and Mattie Hooper made 10 and nine saves, respectively, for Oceanside. Goalie Elise Syphers did not have to make a save to earn the win in net for Edward Little.
Mt. Blue 2, Nokomis 0
NEWPORT — Adelle Foss and Samantha Ellis performed the scoring duties as Mt. Blue secured a 2-0 victory over Nokomis in field hockey action Thursday afternoon.
The Cougars (9-3) scored both of their goals in the second half.
Goalie Chelsea Crockett made nine saves for the Warriors (6-4-2), while goalminder Ericka McArthur stopped four to earn the win in net for Mt. Blue.

Buckfield 2, Traip 0
BUCKFIELD — Max White scored a header goal in the first half on a flip throw from Ethan Jackson as Buckfield clipped Traip 2-0 in boys’ soccer action Thursday afternoon.
Jacson scored an insurance goal for the Bucks (9-1) with 10 minutes remaining in the first half off a free kick.
Goalie Jayce Nielson made six saves for the Rangers (7-3), while keeper Rick Kraske turned away five to earn the win in net for Buckfield.
St. Dom’s 7, Lake Region 0
NAPLES — Sophomore forward Michee Kikobo manufactured three goals and an assist to lead St. Dom’s to a 7-0 shutout over Lake Region in boys’ soccer
action Thursday afternoon.
The Saints (3-7) came on strong in the first half with a 5-0 lead at the midpoint. Matt Gagnon contributed a goal and two assists for St. Dom’s.
Goalie C.J. Ferguson faced a flurry shots, making 20 saves for the Lakers (2-8). Goalies Matt Gagnon and Bryton Kieltyka made six and zero saves, respectively, for St. Dom’s in the winning effort.
Mt. Blue 4, Oxford Hills 0
FARMINGTON — Sam Smith scored twice to lead Mt. Blue to a 4-0 win over Oxford Hills on Thursday in Class A boys’ soccer action.
Smith also notched an assist. Adam Lowen scored a goal and tallied an assist, as well.
Tucker Carlton saved two shots for Mt. Blue, while Sam Morton saved eight shots for the Vikings.
