NORWAY — Dancers and donors from around Maine will gather from 6 to 9 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 4, on the second floor at 13 Cottage St. to eat, drink, dance, be entertained and raise funds for the local and global programs of the nonprofit Cottage Street Creative Exchange.
Art Moves Dance Ensemble of Norway, Collective Motion Arts Center of Saco, The Moving Company Dance Studio of Topsham, Portland Youth Dance of Portland, and Cottage Street Crew of Norway will entertain guests with dance and OHMPAA will perform a selection from their upcoming show. Light fare will be provided by Kezarstone Catering.
Funds raised support free dance classes for local youth, school residencies and shows, Maine and international exchange via the arts and culture.
Tickets are $25 per person, and may be purchased online on the Project side of artmovesdance.com under events. Invitations will be available at Books N Things in Norway from Oct. 11 on, or may be requested by emailing debi@artmovesdance.com.
Guests are encouraged to wear black and/or white from casual to formal attire.
Dancers Thaise Galvão and Gabriela Gorges of Rio Grande de Norte, Brazil, are among the dancers who have performed in Norway through the Cottage Street Exchange.
