SOUTH PARIS — Priscilla (Leary) Wright, 105, of South Paris, died peacefully Monday, Oct. 9, at Market Square Health Care Center where she had resided for the past four months. Previously, she lived for many years with her daughter, Linda Caradonna, and her son-in-law, Peter Caradonna.
Priscilla was born in Chelsea, Lunenburg County, Nova Scotia, on Dec. 31, 1911, and was the daughter of Archie J. Leary and Bertha M. (Henley) Leary. She attended schools in Framingham, Mass., and was proud of the fact that she was salutatorian of the Framingham High School Class of 1929. She lived in Ashland and Framingham, Mass., for many years and was a member of the Park Street Baptist Church. She was married for 64 years to F. Alden Wright, who predeceased her in 2002. In addition to her husband, she was predeceased by her parents; a sister, Viola Cox; brothers, Merrill and Ralph Leary; and grandson, Paul Caradonna.
Survivors include daughter, Linda and Peter Caradonna, of Cumberland Foreside; grandchildren, Peter (Patty) Caradonna of West Gardiner, Amy (Bruce) Wheeler of Pepperell, Mass., Matthew Caradonna of Inwood, W.Va, and Jill (David) Maldonado of Great Barrington, Mass.; and great-grandchildren, Peter and Jordan Caradonna, Andrew and Rachel Wheeler, Courtney, Meghan and Kate Caradonna, and Rose and Leo Maldonado. We wish to thank the staff of Andrews West at Market Square Health Care Center and Beacon Hospice who cared for Priscilla in her final days, and most especially, we thank her wonderful, loving caregiver for the last three years, Kitti Tikander, and First Light Home Care.
