Where’s the empathy? Some things are done in poor taste and some things are done out of ignorance. The sick and thoughtless so-called cartoon in the Opinion page of the Sun Journal on Saturday, Oct. 14, was 100 percent of both.

Thousands of people have lost their homes and businesses. People have died.

I understand it was a syndicated cartoon, but that doesn’t mean that any newspaper has to publish it.

The only thing more disgusting than publishing something as ugly as that cartoon is the person who came up with it.
