CHANDLER, Ariz. — Margaret E. Belanger, 78, passed away unexpectedly in her sleep on Thursday, Oct. 19, in Chandler, Ariz.

She was born in Lewiston on April 28, 1939, to Mary E. (Roberts) Hinkley and Walter E. Hinkley Sr. She attended Lewiston schools and worked at various jobs in Lewiston-Auburn. Margaret loved camping at River Bend Campground until she made the move to Arizona two years ago. She loved spending time with friends and family, either at one of her favorite restaurants (and she had many) or around someone’s dinner table. (As long as she didn’t have to cook.) She couldn’t sit still for very long and was always looking for something to do or someplace to go.

She is survived by her husband, Robert R. Belanger; children, Marc Ouellette, Diane Plunkett and Daniel Ouellette, all of Casa Grande, Ariz., and Rick Ouellette and wife, Misty of Minot; stepchildren, Debbie (Belanger) Pare of Auburn and Roland Belanger of Lewiston; a brother, Walter E Hinkley Jr. and wife, Suzanne (McCarthy) of Auburn; grandchildren, Amanda Ouellette, Kaylee and Aidan Bradford, Nathan and Dylan Belanger, Brady Ouellette, Courtney Vincent and Lindsey Lessard; and 10-plus nieces and nephews in Maine, New Hampshire, Colorado and Texas.

She is predeceased by her mother, Mary E. Hinkley of Lewiston-Auburn; father, Walter E. Hinkley Sr. of Wales; a younger brother, Billy; and a grandson, Tyler Belanger.
