AUBURN — Ronald R. Morin, 73, of 6 Jan’s Boulevard, Lewiston, died Saturday, Oct. 21, at the Hospice House of Androscoggin Home Health and Hospice Services in Auburn.

Born in Lewiston on April 16, 1944, he was the son of Joseph Morin and Beatrice Sirois Ellis. Educated in local schools, he was a graduate of Lewiston High School, Class of ’64. He married the love of his life, the former Suzanne D. Bolduc, on June 29, 1968. Prior to his retirement, he worked as a hand sewer in the shoe industry, most notably at Sebago Shoe.

Ron enjoyed fishing, boating and exploring Maine’s lakes, and also enjoyed shopping with his wife, especially finding bargains at Marden’s on tools. Always very handy, he was constantly fixing cars and things around the house. He loved animals, especially dogs, but the greatest joy in his life came from time spent with his grandchildren.

Survivors include his loving wife, Suzanne, of Lewiston; a daughter, Lisa and husband, Jeffery Whitman, of Auburn; a grandson, Brendan Whitman; a granddaughter, Breya Whitman; a cousin who was like a brother, Daniel Levesque, his wife Mindy, and his children Derek and Bess; a sister-in-law, Nancy Dumas and her husband, Peter; a niece, Kim McManus and her husband, Dan; a nephew, Kevin Dumas; a great-nephew, Coady Lagasse; a great-niece, Kianna Lagasse; and several cousins.

Besides his parents, he was predeceased by a half brother, David Morin.

The family would like to thank the staffs of Hospice House, the ICU at CMMC, and MMC for all the care they gave Ron.
