RUMFORD — Do you have a wacky aunt or grandmother whom you just adore? Then you’ll love the “The Witches of 49 Franklin,” an interactive Halloween event planned for 2 to 4:30 p.,m., Sunday, Oct. 29 at 49 Franklin.

The witches of 49 Franklin are ready to celebrate the season with lots of laughs and Halloween fun. “Witches” is an interactive event for the young and the young- at-heart as the witches provide face painting, crafts, dances, trick-or-treating and helping out with some local magic. Local magician Scot Grassette has some new tricks up his sleeve, as he weaves interaction from the audience with help from unforgettable Wacky Wanda.

Costumes are encouraged or come as you are.

Cindy Grassette returns as Wacky Wanda who has become smitten with the local magician. Will she be able to win him over? Will he fall under her spell? Will he be able to (nicely) avoid her advances?

The entire event is rated “Not Too Spooky” and is safe and appropriate for all ages.

Snacks and drinks will be available for purchase from Witch Ella. The event will be capped off by forming a conga line and trick-or-treating around the room as part of the ticket price.

Tickets will be available at the door for $10 , or in advance for $8 at www.49franklin.com or downtown Rumford at All That Jazz and Bartash’s. Children under 3 are free. Please enter at the first parking lot by the ramp.
