Marine Corps League to meet
LEWISTON — Central Maine Detachment 810, Marine Corps League, will meet at 6 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 26, at the Lewiston Armory, 65 Central Ave.
All Marines, FMF Corpsmen and Navy chaplains are invited. Anyone interested in Marines Helping Veterans is also invited to attend.
Hello-ween Celebration for families
AUBURN — The United New Auburn Association, the Boys and Girls Club of L/A and the Auburn Recreation Department invite all ghouls and goblins to the seventh annual Hello-ween Celebration from 1 to 3 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 28, in New Auburn.
Kids are invited to visit participating New Auburn businesses decked out in their “scariest best” for treats, to play games, and new this year, to participate in a parade of characters at 1 and 2 p.m. There will be costume judging.
The association is also looking for volunteers to serve as crossing guards, donations of candy and treats and prizes for the costume contest.

Neighborhood Watch Group meeting
AUBURN — The New Auburn Neighborhood Watch Group will meet at 6:30 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 26, at the Sixth Street Congretational Church.
The meeting is sponsored by the Auburn Police Department.
The speaker for the evening will be the sheriff of the county jail, Eric Samson.
Everyone is welcomed.
United Methodist plans Trunk or Treat
AUBURN — The second annual Trunk or Treat will take place from 3 to 5 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 29, at the United Methodist Church, 439 Park Ave.
It is free and open to the public.
United New Auburn Halloween event
AUBURN — United New Auburn Association will not have a meeting this month.
Instead it will host Halloween safe day trick or treat from 1 to 3 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 28, by the Four Season Farm Market.
There will be plenty of tents set up and plenty of games and candy.
Tri-Town Penguins to meet
DURHAM — The Tri-Town Penguins Snowmobile Club of Durham, Freeport and Pownal will meet at 7 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 31, at the Durham Fire Station, 615 Hallowell Road.
The club meets on the last Tuesday of each month from September to April. New members are welcome.
