AUBURN — Karen E. Liberty, 65, a resident of Livermore Falls, passed away Saturday, Oct. 28, at the Hospice House of Androscoggin in Auburn, surrounded by her loving family.

She was born March 17, 1952, in Rumford, the daughter of Lloyd Hutchinson and Melvina (Manzer) Hutchinson. She was a graduate of Berlin High School in New Hampshire. On April 16, 1983, she married Phillip Liberty.

Through the years she worked in the shoe shops, and later as a certified nurses aide at the local nursing homes. She enjoyed devoting her time to her family and home, watching wrestling, NASCAR and playing games on the computer.

She is survived by her husband, Phillip Liberty, of Livermore Falls; her daughter, Trina Hamel, of Livermore Falls; six grandchildren; three great-granddaughters; her brother, Michael Hutchinson, of Oxbridge, Mass.; and her sister, Charlene Hutchinson, of Rumford; and many nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her parents; her sons, Michael Shane Hutchinson and Wilfred Joe Crosby; brother, Ronald Hutchinson; and sisters, Jean Richmond, Linda Hutchinson and Charmain Karcher.
