FARMINGTON — Ginger and Persephone are Pets of the Week at the Franklin County Animal Shelter.
Ginger, the Dog of the Week, is a 3-year-old female retriever mix. She is a sweet, energetic dog who is good with kids, likes to play with cats, and may be OK with another dog once she has a meet-and-greet. She is looking for a new owner with the time for long walks or runs, playing ball or just cuddling.
Persephone, the Cat of the Week, is a 1- to 3-year-old female who is a sweet, talkative and very photogenic kitty who is looking for a permanent and loving home.
Ginger, Persephone and other pets may be visited at the shelter from noon to 5 p.m. Tuesdays through Saturdays at 550 Industry Road. Cats and dogs are spayed or neutered prior to adoption and have been vaccinated for rabies, treated for fleas, microchipped and have had nail trims. The shelter also rehomes barn cats, livestock and other pets.
