LEWISTON — Mrs. Muriel Ruth (Goss) Kuck died peacefully Wednesday, Oct. 25, of pulmonary fibrosis, with her loving daughter, Cindy, by her side.

Muriel was born July 5, 1938, in Kansas City, Mo., to Onno M. Goss and Anna “Ruth” Leonard. She attended the Kansas City public schools and was active in tap and ballet dancing classes and recitals.

Her grace led her to become a model for the Patricia Stevens Modeling Agency. She later worked for the Baptist Memorial Hospital and St. Mary’s Hospital in Kansas City, where she met the love of her life, Dr. Klaus D. Kuck. They married in 1967 and later moved to Maine and subsequently to Lewiston.

She later became active in genealogy research and proficient in colonial records, which led her to discover her revolutionary ancestors and membership in the Daughters of the American Revolution.

Muriel had a great love for her family and expressed it in many ways, including her beautiful smile. Muriel was excellent at crocheting, needlepoint and embroidery.

She was predeceased by her husband, Dr. Klaus D. Kuck; her first husband, Willie Lee Roy Cowan; her parents, Onno M. and Ruth Goss; and a sister, Gloria Ann (Goss) Hardy.

She is survived by her daughter, Mrs. Cindy Cowan Caron (Gary) of Lewiston; stepsons, Hans and Wernher Kuck of Torrance, Calif; six grandchildren, Nicholas J. Caron, Adrian L. Caron, Erika M. Caron, Zachary M. Caron, Gregory P. Caron and Rebecca A. Caron. She also leaves a sister, Mrs. Evie Bresette (Lou) of Kansas City, Mo.; and many nephews and nieces.

A special thank-you to Androscoggin Home Hospice staff for all of your wonderful care of Muriel.
