Golden Age Club to hold memorial Mass

AUBURN — Immaculate Heart of Mary Golden Age Club will meet at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 14, for a memorial Mass for deceased members at Sacred Heart Church.

Members will then go to the Culinary Arts Dining Room at Central Maine Community College for a Thanksgiving luncheon at noon. Cost is $12.

A short business meeting will be held. New members and guests are welcome.

LEWISTON — The Ladies of St. Anne Sodality of Holy Family Parish will hold a general membership meeting at 6 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 15, in the Parish Hall.

After a brief business meeting, there will be a Chinese auction. Members and guests are asked to bring a $5 gift. Doors will be opened at 5:30 p.m. Light refreshments will be served.

Happiness secrets to be explored

LEWISTON — An hour of upward attitude adjustment will be provided at Lifetree Cafe at 6:30 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 16, at 1919 Lisbon Road.

The program, titled “Smile … Even When You Think You Can’t,” will provide proven ways to cope with difficult situations in life. A short film will be shown featuring a wheelchair-bound man who competes in triathlon events.

“It’s easy to feel overwhelmed by life’s hardships,” said Lifetree representative Craig Cable. “This program offers hope and some key skills that help overcome challenges.”

Participants will have the opportunity to discuss a problem they’re currently facing and brainstorm potential solutions. Admission is free.

Daughters of Isabella meet

JAY — Circle 677, Daughters of Isabella, held their monthly social on Oct. 25. Brown bags decorated as scarecrows were on the table for each member. The bags were filled with surprises. Committee members made casseroles, salads and bread pudding.
