AUBURN — On Friday, Nov. 10, at the age of 87, Georgette C. Villeneuve, of Lewiston, left her home on earth, surrounded by her family, and entered into her heavenly home where she was met by those who had gone before her.
She was born in Lewiston on Jan. 22, 1930, to the late Ovide and Bernadette Nadeau.
On June 7, 1951, she married Fernand Villeneuve at the Basilica of Saints Peter & Paul. Georgette and Fern had four children, Roland, Ann, Diane and Gerald (Gerry).
Georgette was a member of the Pine Tree Warriors as well as Les Indiens snowshoe club. She enjoyed spending time with her family, watching her “soaps” while drinking a diet root beer, playing beano, taking naps and coloring. She was known, at her nursing home, for telling every employee that they were “her favorite.”
She is survived by her daughter, Ann Richardson and her husband, Bruce, her son, Gerry Villeneuve, and her daughter, Diane Dubois and her husband, JR, all of Lewiston. She was a wonderful Memere to her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She was predeceased by her husband, Fern; her son, Roland; and a sister, Rita Roy.
Her family would like to thank the staff at Montello Manor, St. Mary’s Hospital and Hospice House for taking such good care of her.
Online condolences and sharing of memories may be expressed at www.lynchbrothers.com.
