CANTON — The Canton Volunteer Fire Department Auxiliary will hold the fifth annual Festival of Wreaths from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday and Sunday, Nov. 25 and 26, and Dec. 2 and 3. The Auxiliary has added a bonus night, 4 to 7 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 30.
Members will accept donated wreaths of any theme, real or artificial. They do have capability for wreaths that need electricity for lights. Businesses may attach advertising materials to their wreaths.
Those wishing to see the wreaths should visit 90 Turner St. Tickets can be purchased at one for $1 or six for $5 for favorite wreaths. Winners will be drawn after closing on Sunday, Dec. 3, and pick-up/delivery arrangements will be made. This year, patrons are welcome to stay during the drawings.
In the past, proceeds have been used to help with truck repairs and tracks for the utility vehicle. Last summer members provided donations to three families who were displaced from their homes due to house fires.
