PARIS — The Oxford Hills Community Literacy Team (OHCLT) will continue the FEED YOUR BRAIN with BOOKS project. The initiative brings books to the food pantries of the Oxford Hills area.

At this time, the Oxford Hills Food Pantry has a generous selection of books for community members who are supported by the food pantry. The next phase of the FEED YOUR BRAIN with BOOKS project is to provide books to the students who are supported by the food pantries in local schools.

To contribute to the project, gently used books may be brought to collection boxes at the Paris Public Library, the First Congregational Church in Paris, the Norway Memorial Library, the office at University College and the SAD 17 Central Office. The team is accepting books for all ages, but is specifically targeting books for children and young adults.

Members of the OHCLT are local educators, community members and librarians. The purpose of the group is to support literacy development from birth to adulthood in the community. This outreach is one of the components of the SAD 17 Preschool Expansion Grant, which provides over $1.2 million to expand preschool services to SAD 17 schools. New members are welcome.
