PORT ORANGE, Fla. — Sammy D Partee, 84, of Port Orange, Fla., passed away in his home Sunday, Nov. 19. He was the husband of Charlene “Cookie” (Robinson) Partee. They celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary in May 2017.

He was born May 6, 1933, in Batesville, Ark., to the late Clarence O. and Ora E. (Vincent) Partee.

Sammy was an Army veteran of the Korean War; he received a Purple Heart for injuries he received in the battle of Chosin Reservoir. He worked for many years as a machinist in Lewiston. He loved to be outside and you could often find him in the garage working on snowmobiles.

Sammy is survived by his wife, Cookie; his children, Suzanne, Donna, Julie DePasquale (Don), Sandra, Kathy, Linda, Debbie Dionne (Shawn), Stephanie Watson (Tom), Sammy and Timothy. He is also survived by 17 grandchildren, Philip, Kyle, Bethany, Skylar, Aja, David, Michael, Chad, Amanda, Jessica, Dylan, Cody, Tommy, Micah, Joshua, Tabitha and Tamara. As well as 10 great-grandchildren, Ruby, Lewis, Sailor, Gracie, Nevaeh, Dimitri, Isaac, Stella, Samarah and Shaila. Further survived by sister, Maurice Friesner (Darrell); and ex-son-in-law, Mike Arsenault.

He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Audley and Johnny; four sisters, Imogene, Mildred Johnston (Guy), Lorene Brooks (Martin), Helen Konen (George); and sister-in-law, Virtue (Robinson) Provencher (Norman).
