Dempsey Memorial Service Dec. 3
LEWISTON — The Dempsey Center will conduct the annual Memorial Service at 1 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 3. The service celebrates the lives of those who received care at the center and loved ones from the area who have died from cancer in the past year.
“This is a very special community event for all of us at the Dempsey Center,” said Kerry Irish, psychosocial services manager. “This ceremony allows us to offer some comfort, support and understanding to anyone that has lost a loved one to cancer.”
The event will include live music by harpist Danielle Paus, inspirational readings and a reception, with light refreshments following the ceremony.
The Dempsey Center provides free support and education for people impacted by cancer. The center also offers bereavement support to those who have lost a loved one to cancer.

Auburn Art Club to meet
AUBURN — The Auburn Art Club will meet at 2 p.m. Monday, Dec. 4, at Park Avenue Methodist Church, Park Avenue.
Mona Ervin will present a program demonstrating Christmas crafts.
Hostesses for the meeting will be Bonnie Ross, Mona Ervin, Shirley Bennett, Debby Dwyer and Alda Reynolds.
Cribbage league to play
LEWISTON — Lewiston Senior Citizens Cribbage League plays Thursdays at the Lewiston Memorial Armory, 65 Central Ave.
Doors open at 8 a.m., and games will begin at 9 a.m.
The league plays through April, but games are played year-round.
