PARIS — The Paris Public Library invites all Oxford Hills families to join them from 6:45 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 5, for Family Code Night featuring Hour of Code puzzles from Code.org.

Family Code Night is a family event at which kids grades K-5 and their parents do their first hour of computer programming together. At this special evening of learning and fun, attendees will play in parent-child teams to complete fun Code.org puzzles and challenges at their own pace, and learn core concepts in coding in this very first hour.

Afterwards, attendees will go home with a special “Code On at Home” guide to continue coding puzzles, learning and fun at home. No coding experience needed, a few laptops will be available if needed (if possible, bring one device – laptop, Chromebook or tablet – for each two attendees).

This is a great experience to share with kids. The program is free and the activities are fun. Families will be coding with their kids in no time.
