AUBURN — Judith A. Lawlor, 84, of Auburn, slipped away peacefully Sunday, Dec. 10, at her home in Auburn with her loving family by her side. She was born in Lewiston on Aug. 15, 1933, a daughter of the late Carl and Fabiola (Desjardins) Damon. She attended local schools including Edward Little High School and eventually earned her GED. Following her school years she married the love of her life, Arthur Lawlor, at her sister’s house on the Poland Road in Auburn. Together they worked and raised their young family of five children. She was a faithful charter member of The Faith Baptist Church of Auburn and was very involved in its activities. In her younger years she was an active member of the Postal Women’s Auxiliary. But her greatest source of pride and joy was in her large and ever-growing family.
Judith is survived by her loving husband, Arthur Lawlor; five children: Nancy Gagnon and husband “Biz” of Turner, Arthur R. Lawlor Jr. and wife Sue of Auburn, Debra Damon and husband Rick of North Windham, Tim Lawlor and wife Donna of Massachusetts, Patti Ouellette and husband Gary of Portland, 26 grandchildren, 57 great-grandchildren, two brothers: Carl Damon Jr., Kenneth Damon, three sisters: Dorothy Chabot, Linda Moore and Pat Stone.
Besides her parents, she was predeceased by a brother: Donald Damon, three sisters: Joyce Andrews, June Chabot and Rita Piirainen.
