LEWISTON — Marie P. Bisson, 88, of Lewiston died Tuesday, Dec. 19, at d’Youville Pavilion following a long illness.

She was born in Lewiston on July 9, 1929, the daughter of the late Rosaire and Mariette (Gilbert) Gagne and had been a resident of this community all of her life.

She married Roland Bisson on July 9, 1949; and he died on May 26, 1990.

She was a member of the Daughters of Isabella of Lisbon Falls and a volunteer of both the Catholic Charities of Maine and St. Mary’s Hospital and was a parishioner of Holy Cross Church.

Marie loved going to Disney World. She was an avid golfer having been a member of Apple Valley Golf Course. She was very proud of winning the Women’s President’s Cup in 1987.

She is survived by one daughter, Rita White, of Lisbon Falls; one son, Robert Bisson, and his wife, Debra, of Lewiston; three sisters, Lucette Dubois of Auburn, Marcelle Galipeau and her husband Robert of Lewiston and Pauline Drouin of Sarasota, Florida; six grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Besides her husband and her parents, she was predeceased by one brother, Gilbert Gagne.
