Book Café to meet
MEXICO — The Mexico Public Library Book Café, the adult reading group, will meet on the first Wednesday of each month from 5:45 to 7 p.m.
New members are always welcome.
Girl Scouts holding information session
SOUTH PORTLAND — Girl Scouts of Maine has announced that it will host Discover Girl Scout events for potential members and volunteers at locations throughout the state every month.
The events will bring together girls from kindergarten through third grade and their caregivers, and allow them to discover why Girl Scouting is important to the development of girls, how it relates to the success of young women today and the role that adults play.
Two local events are announced.
Peru: 5 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 3, at Dirigo Elementary School, 117 Auburn Road.
Bryant Pond: 2:30 p.m. Friday, Jan. 5, at Woodstock Elementary School, 224 Rumford Ave.

Duplicate Bridge Club to meet
OXFORD — Oxford Hills Duplicate Bridge Club plays at 9:15 a.m. Fridays in the Oxford Recreation building on King St.
A partner is guaranteed, and all bridge players are welcome.
