FARMINGTON — Nomination papers for a three-year selectman’s seat and a three-year school board director’s seat are available at the Town Office.
Matthew Smith’s term on the Board of Selectmen is soon to expire, Town Manager Richard Davis recently told the board. Smith has indicated he plans to run again.
Iris Silverstein’s term on the RSU 9 school board also is due to expire, Davis said.
Those interested in seeking election to either position must return nomination papers to Town Clerk Leanne Dickey by Jan. 26.
Nomination papers must have between 25 and 75 signatures of registered Farmington voters.
An election for these seats will take place the day before the annual town meeting Monday, March 26. The meeting is scheduled to begin at 7 p.m. at the Community Center.
