Bitter cold temperatures are here to stay through the end of the week and into the weekend. Today will showcase plenty of sunshine and a chill that just won’t go away. Temperatures will only climb to the single digits for highs but it will feel much colder as wind chills will remain between 15 and 25 degrees below zero.
The current cold spell could rival some of the longest, most intense on record at Portland. The current 7-day forecast does not have Portland rising above 20 degrees, with most nights below zero. #mewx pic.twitter.com/rMFPjaGML2

Tonight will be another quiet and clear evening with low dipping back below zero and those bitter cold wind chills will remain in place.
For the weekend ahead, Saturday has potentially an interesting set up, there will be more clouds than sun and there will be snow developing which can be heavy at times.
Sunday looks to be partly sunny and bitter cold to start and temperatures in the single digits inland and in the very low double digits along the coast.
